Q: Why do you write puppet scripts? What motivates you?
I find a message that I would like to share in a humorous or easy-to-understand format, and then I write what would make sense to me if I were 12 years old or younger.
Q: Tell us about your church or puppet organisation.
Not answered yet.
Q: How did you get started in puppets and what attracted you to this area?
Puppetry is a great way for kids of all ages, especially those who are shy, to be able to safely perform in front of groups of people. You are hidden behind a curtain and can be much more brave with your voice and acting talents.
Q: Where does your inspiration come from to write puppet scripts?
Usually a situation in the classroom or a concept in the Bible suggests a script to me and I start writing.
Q: What advice would you give to someone just starting out in puppetry?
Not answered yet.
Q: Who are your favourite puppet characters and what do you like about them?
Not answered yet.
Q: What are the most important qualities in great puppet scripts?
A good script does not talk "down" to the audience and includes elements that appeal to all ages. It has action and lively banter. It shows or reveals instead of preaching or prodding. A good script never takes itself too seriously... puppets never do.
Q: What would you do if you were a puppet?
But, what if I already am?
