Q: Why do you write puppet scripts? What motivates you? |
I write mainly for teaching purposes during our Vacation Bible Schools. I am motivated mainly by the children and their unconditional love. |
Q: Tell us about your church or puppet organisation. |
Our church (the Lord's Church) is all about teaching young - olderly about the love of Christ. The puppets are a tool to get their attention. It works great. |
Q: How did you get started in puppets and what attracted you to this area? |
I say a puppet act at another Church of Christ. I was amazed at the responce by all watching. |
Q: Where does your inspiration come from to write puppet scripts? |
My inspiration if first - a love of Christ and the truth and second - to share that love with others. |
Q: What advice would you give to someone just starting out in puppetry? |
Keep it simple, not overly long, use humor, tell about God in terms that all ages understand. Get puppeteers with loud voices. Speak biblical truth - not opinion. |
Q: Who are your favourite puppet characters and what do you like about them? |
In my puppet skits Sam is a loud boy with an extreme personality. It is usually his problem that is being delt with. He is very funny. |

Biblical truth, humor and lesson plot |

Speak clearly, speak truthfully, show my emotions in my movements. |
