The Persecutor

Description: A Russian finds Christ through a young woman's testimony. This contains graphic violence. Do not show to small kids. These believers actually experienced this, the least we can do is hear about their suffering and grow in our faith because of it.

I have read Kourdakov's book, and feel that the valuable message is diluted because they omit Kourdakoc's statement that an invisible force grasped his hand when he was tryng to cruelly strike one of the Christians, and THIS is what convinced him of God- not the fact that the girl (Natasha) was again at the many prayer meetings.

This is simply the finest piece I have yet read in the Marriott oeuvre. ****? Yes. But daring, truthful and redemptive. Mr. Marriott shows he is a *writer* as well as a man of God--a dangerous and wonderful double blessing! It would probably better lend itself to film, but we can all only work with our rather humble puppet stages.
Ambitious and far-reaching (Rated by: Jim Hill) Posted April 1 2003

This is a very interesting play, with a strong narrative structure and an ambitious plan for staging. Excellent.

A good play! Especially poignant is how much better off Russia is now that the free market has replaced their old form of government.

Why don't you talk about the godless communists right here in the U.S.A? Do not doubt that they are behind all the evils that plague us today. They have infiltrated our government so evolution and satanism can be taught in schools.

Is this a joke? How is anyone supposed to perform this with puppets? I don't know what these plays of yours are getting at.
