Wrong Message to Send! (Rated by: Anonymous) Posted September 16 2015

Rating: 1

We need to teach children to be in relationship with God with their sins forgiven. We do not need to teach them that the worst part of death would be to have not gotten a hug from their mom or dad that day! The worst part of death would be for the person who dies to not know Jesus!
Needs a little more attention at the end (Rated by: Lisa) Posted April 3 2013

Rating: 5

The script demonstrates that tomorrow is uncertain, but it needs to emphasize the saving grace found in having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Otherwise the kids may fear and ultimately blame God for taking their parents from them.

Just in time for the holidays (Rated by: Sheila Darcy) Posted September 22 2007

A script on the docket for sure; what with visiting grandparents and so forth. Great concept for the use of the hug and catch phrase there.

Keep it believable (Rated by: Sam) Posted June 2 2007

Rating: 2

Death is an important topic, but this is a weak script. Bomb on the turnpike? Why not a rock from outer space? If you are talking about something real like death, use an example that children might actually relate to: car wreck, robbery, shooting, etc.
Challenging! (Rated by: Duncan) Posted May 20 2007

Rating: 10

Makes us think every time we perform it!
No Heading (Rated by: Esther) Posted April 16 2007

Rating: 3

Why scare kids about bombs and losing their mom and dad? There is enough scary stuff to contend with these days. Even if something happens and you don't give a hug it doesn't mean they love you any less! So what point does it make?
Holidays Travel (Rated by: Emmilee) Posted November 8 2006

Rating: 10

What attracted to me about this script was all the TRAVEL around the holidays. Turns out the kids loved it even more for its message about the here-and-now. great scripts.
A sad truth (Rated by: Janice) Posted August 22 2006

Rating: 10

The death of a beloved Children's Pastor brought home the message for us. This play helped wit the healing.

I took another look at this (with the prompting of our Youth Pastor) and I see now it's true message. The show goes up on Sunday. Thank you puppet 2 puppet!

Why worry them? (Rated by: Kim) Posted February 7 2005

Rating: 2

Kids are faced with so much in their daily lives as it is. Why worry then with the "just in case" or "what if's" of this world. It seems their should be another way to teach kids to express love without adding fear.

But I think with some revisions this could really be great for kids. I have my ideas. I'll try it and share the results. It's a wonderful message because we don't want to not say goodbye!
Could not be more straightforward (Rated by: Stanley Morison) Posted June 21 2004

Rating: 10

Nice job! We need a reminder of what might happen to each of us. Kids need to be shaken from there false sense of security.

I believe a lot of children would go home terribly troubled after this story. My child would focus on the tragedy and worry about me.

Kids need to know that they are not alone. This is a great play for that!
No Heading (Rated by: Dave Marriott) Posted April 12 2003

I would not like to scare children but at the same time, I wouldn't want a child to recieve such loss without closure. A memory of a last hug would be great instead of an arguement or something.

This play really speaks to me and my family. Thank you for the assistance (in the future)!

Theology matters (Rated by: Cordelia) Posted March 18 2003

Concern: could children become fearful of normal separations/become frightened by and suspicious of God's motives. Accidents happen and they are not punishments of God. God helps us cope with the tragedies of life. Encourage kids to rely on God to help us through life by stressing that His plans for us are always good. Jeremiah 29:11

No one is in favor of frightening children, but the fact remains that the world is a dangerous place, and "just in case hugs" are probably in order. I remember the last words my father said to me. They would not be suitable for a family-oriented website such as this.
Hug-riffic! (Rated by: Heaven needs hugs) Posted November 30 2002

I'd like to hug the author of this puppet play -- just in case!
No Heading (Rated by: J.O.P ) Posted November 28 2002

Good idea, but you might want to edit it so that it won't scare kids into thinking that something might happen to their parents if they don't give them a hug and kiss goodbye!
Just In Case Thumbs Up! (Rated by: Buster) Posted November 27 2002

Great work! I'll bet a lot of people wish they had given their friends and family members one of those "Just In Case" Hugs!
Shocked by this one (Rated by: Puppeteer) Posted October 6 2002

Rating: 1

What a disappointing skit. I am just shocked that anyone would put such nonsense and worry into the heart and mind of a child.
No Heading (Rated by: Anonymous) Posted September 23 2002

I think kids need security and consistency to thrive. This play puts doubts & worries in their mind. Could achieve the positive purpose of "hugs" by showing that they are intended to show that we love one another and fortify us against any troubles we may face.

Your Kidding right? (Rated by: On a different cloud) Posted August 2 2002

We should always hug and kiss those we love but the just incase was a little much! After 9/11 my kids are worried enough as it is why make children terrified!
Wowie! This one's a doozie. (Rated by: Barry Christmas) Posted July 29 2002

I agree with everyone. This play is dynamite and it's message is solid god. I mean gold. Thanks Jesus!
We Lost a Child (Rated by: Chuck) Posted July 28 2002

Rating: 10

My ex-wife and I lost a child and the thing that gets to us the most is that we could have skipped work that day and simply hugged him. Home schooling also would have stopped him from getting on the schoolbus that morning.
