Words are not "bad" if you take them in context (Rated by: Joel) Posted February 8 2004

Children, believe it or not, are intelligent enough to make up their own minds about the use of "curse" words. We need to stop infantilizing our children.

A friend and fellow student told me about this! I am very pleased to find this very important work here! How surprising to find Americans interested in Handshcuh. I would like to speak more about this. Schoenes Gruess aus Deutschland!

Why the controversy? (Rated by: William James) Posted March 13 2003

Rating: 7

Just got around to reading this and I don't understand the attacks on it at all. As far as I could discern, the play contains no profanity. It is clearly presented for historical interest only, so why complain that it is not usuable for churches? I think there is something else going on here.
Does David Marriot even exist? (Rated by: Colin) Posted March 12 2003

Rating: 9

This is probably a better topic for the board, but I am getting real tired of Markus Wolf's negative for negative sake posts and then the parroting of "David Marriott", who repeats the same thing a few hours later? People interested in this script, disregard their comments.
uncanny indeed! (Rated by: Anonymous) Posted March 12 2003

I try to stay out of the controversies on this site, but recent comments suggest that someone is eagarly playing Waylon Smithers to an older man's Montgomery Burns.
Yet again I agree with Markus (Rated by: Dave Marriott) Posted March 12 2003

This is uncanny, how can a guy always agree with someone when they don't even belong to the same denomination. Oh, as for the script, you went to too much trouble to recover a script with such profanity and derranged thinking.
Skit's terrible but intro's funny (Rated by: Markus Wolf) Posted March 12 2003

Not usable for churches who may look down on the swear words and "rending of clothing and flesh." But an accurate expose on the umm.. "author." The brief "bio" was a mastery at dark humor for puppeteers and redeem'd it in some weird satisfying way.

Even though Germans can look and sound scary sometimes, I really enjoyed this play. I think it might be way over my head though, intellectually speaking. Maybe it needs some of those subtitle thingies.

Not a Flood but a Disaster (Rated by: Richard) Posted May 17 2002

The disaster of 1953 led not only to a high level of awareness of the flood threat, but also to extensive measures to improve protection, which were carried out with the greatest urgency. The frequency chosen depends on the potential damage (Figure 4).

I did not know American knew this Handschuh. In my country, he is Christof Colombus and Shakespeare at once. And Dave Barry, I think!!! Thanks!!!
