Liked this script because people who do not use puppets often can use the dog puppet but do not have to speak a lot with the puppet. Have him shake his head a lot and use a lot of motions. |

We used this script as one of our skits at our 25 year puppet team reunion presentation. We used an adult in our Saint dog suit from Puppet Productions. Our team acted out the skit while we told it. This was a real hit with a real message! |

Puppet feedback
(Rated by: Karen Heitstuman) Posted July 31 2007 |

I like the idea of the human playing off of a pet or animal. Some of us don't have good "puppet" or fake voices. The scriptis simple enough for small children but can be expanded on for older kids. Thank you from a beginner. |

it's great!

Balaam's ass
(Rated by: Angela McIntyre) Posted September 30 2003 |
Rating: 9 |
I'm not sure why in the world folks would be upset with children hearing a message from a talking dog. Let's not forget that God spoke through Balaam's ass (Numbers 22:28). Dears, this script is truly delightful. Let's not make too much out of a children's puppet play. |
 |
Hazel, look at the "quotation marks"

Clearly the author indicated that this is a "talking dog" with a nudge and a wink. We all know this is a great script. Let's just enjoy it! Arf-arf! |

Great Script! I am using it in kid's church!
(Rated by: Dave Marriott) Posted September 28 2003 |

As to Hazel's comment. I am glad you have your gaurd up against demons masquerading as talking dogs to help children understand a Bible story. That is the devil's number one trick and I am happy that you will not be fooled. Excuse my sarcasm, but what kind of a demon teaches kids Bible stories? Get real. This is a great script. |

I have seen the worst puppet scripts on this web site given high ratings while a terrific script like this one gets a 3?! or a 5? Puppet scripts should be funny and not sermons. This, as most Puppet Production scripts, fit the bill. Two thumbs up! |
