This is the best Christmas play ever. Tell it like it is. It's time to stamp out pagan idols and remember the Christ child in the manger in his swaddling clothes. Right on!

Boy did they get it wrong. This is a good piece and will get my vote of a 10. I don't know why they (writer for Richmond paper) needs to make fun of Christians.

This play is scripturally sound. Just pick up a copy of the Bible KJV and read. Or "fact-check" as they say in your newspaper business. You've made me and a number of good Christians very very angry.

We have performed this play every year for the last 3 years as part of our Christmas puppet pagaent. We were not dissauded last year by the negative press and we will not bow to it this year either. There is no room for that in our church. thank you.

Keep working with this one as you say you will. With some clarity on the message (you don't want to send mixed messages), this could be good. Anyone that distracts from Jesus at Christmas could be called a tool of the devil. Why would you have Santa come back at the end?????

I don't like the whole idea of saying Santa Claus is a tool of Satan. I knowSanta is not real, but be reasonable. What about the Easter Bunny, or the Tooth Fairy. Don't just say that something is a tool of Satan because it gets kids excited about Christmas.

| As someone with a very special love of Christmas I don't understand what you are saying with this puppet play.

Satan and Christmas are like oil and vinegar. They just don't mix well.

...if he says "4," then "4" it is. He's right. Santa? Satan? What are either one of these doing in a children's puppet skit? Especially one about CHRISTmas? Nice save (sorta) at the end, but this is not what I want for my kids. I do really like the big red title, though.

I would say that this script is NOT appropriate for starting age 5! It probably is not appropriate for ages under 13 or so.

I appreciated the sentiment; Christmas shouldn't focus on Santa. However this script would be incredibly confusing due to it's dramatic swings. First Santa = Satan, then Santa's okay, here come enjoy him. Also, "Santa" = "Holy" or "Saint" in all the latin languages. For example, the Spanish "Holy Bible" is titled "Santa Biblia."

look, you may not like your childhood - but Christmas is a contemporary holiday tradition and not a Biblical holiday. Satan - really - this is not for little kids. 16+ is more like it.

"Satan's Tool" is ok in moderation? Are you trying to teach kids it's ok to sit on the fence&jump over every once in a while, but only in moderation? &the shows Bewitched & Will & Grace are innocent?I would say those shows are Satan's tools. This gives 2 contradictory messages;that Santa is Satan but he's ok to pass out toys? STOP RIDING THE FENCE
