I was looking for a Christian puppet skit on anger. I don't know what I just read but I'm pretty sure the writer was doped up.
not good (Rated by: Ruth) Posted May 17 2010

It is too graphic and violent... This sends the wrong message to kids!

worm lives? (Rated by: Virgil) Posted June 30 2003

Hmm. I'm not sure how to stage this one, but I like it. I was a little surprised by the twist with the worm at the end, but I can see so clearly how it was necessary now.

Herr Sand told me about this play and we made a performance of it in Berlin last weekend. The response was angry and excited!! A very big success I think. We will do this again and again. Danke Sehr!
Crying all the way to the bank?! (Rated by: Rev. Horton Heat) Posted March 31 2003

Wait a minute... is there money to be made in Chistian puppetry? I guess I'm doing something wrong, because I haven't made a thin dime.

This play reminds me very much of something I was thinking about last month. About farming. I am going to make a German translation of this and perform it. I don't have worm puppets, but I use heating ducts instead.

Well, I'm not sure this is what I was looking for, but it there is a good message in here somewhere. I like the worms, and I think kids will like the silly string.

I am speechless. Teaches us the value of daggers, though I was sad to see Joel consumed. Hope I never meet a cankerworm.

If you are attempting to be the next C.S. Lewis or J.R.R. Tolkein, you better take this one back to the drawing board. (to much sugar or something)

When the final tribulation comes, there will be many cries for help! Anyone who doubts the message of this play should refer to Joel 2:11. Backsliders beware!

Worm (Rated by: Call me Ishmael) Posted November 27 2002

Though somewhat reminiscent of "Un Chien Andelou" I found this play to be a surrealist masterpiece in it's own right. At the same time, it claims a space for Christian puppet theatre in the genre. Bravo.

Sounds like the exact transcription of a late night pizza induced nightmare. The message is lost, even to this children's pastor. Sounds like a great excuse to use silly string though. I would re-target your audience to bored goth artsy youth group members.

Frankly, I think Christian puppetry is a little top-heavy with so-called "cute" animals like puppies and racoons. The invertabrate worm is certainly a welcome respite. Thanks again P2P!
Challenging (Rated by: subrosax) Posted October 29 2002

Finally, a puppet play that addresses some of the more "grown-up" theological issues. I'd like to do this one for the kids in my teen outreach group. I might change the "Joel" name though. Sounds too Jewish.

So, so good. Really, any study of Christianity should begin with this play. It clears up so many murky area and sheds light on foggy doctrinal questions. Bravo Puppet 2 Puppet!

This is a cry for help...and someone's crying all the way to the bank! Get help!
What is this? A cry for help? (Rated by: Mary Anne Seymour) Posted August 6 2002

This is off center and weird. This is not a Christian puppet play, it's someone's cry for help.

I don't understand this play, but I embrace things that I don't understand. I want to learn more. Will Joel be regurgitated? Will Pethuel be avenged? You are Judeo-Semantic.
Worms are icky. (Rated by: Barry Christmas) Posted August 5 2002

Howdy. Don't know about you folks but I think worms are icky. They do help illustrate evil but I still don't like em. Never have, never will. I don't even go fishin'.
