| Q: Why do you write puppet scripts? What motivates you? |
I do Puppets Ministry in my church with teenages for orphans and sick kids. Our team includes 6 people now and everyone enjoys the opportunity to serve Jesus this way.
And I hope I'll be able to teach about puppets and the ministry. |
| Q: Tell us about your church or puppet organisation. |
| I visit a Pentecostal church. It's 11 years old now. Puppet's Ministry exist here for 5 years. Our church helps us with vehicles for the trips to the places we visit with Children's Programs. |
| Q: How did you get started in puppets and what attracted you to this area? |
| I had diploma project on Puppet Show when I studied at Christian Institute and started the ministry in our church in 1999/2000. I still enjoy it. |
| Q: Where does your inspiration come from to write puppet scripts? |
The best are those scripts we write together. Everyone can share.
Very useful is reading of fairy-tales and other books for kids - that helps to know better their world and speak the language they understand. |
| Q: What advice would you give to someone just starting out in puppetry? |
Start with little things. Do what you can.
Have regular rehearsals, faithful puppeteers. Pay time and get attention.
Be close to the problems your audience has. |
| Q: Who are your favourite puppet characters and what do you like about them? |
| I like the Bear. He is funny, smarty and big. The best thing about him - we made it ourselves. I wish I could share his picture with you. |
| Q: What are the most important qualities in great puppet scripts? |
| Ability to achieve their goal, i.e. influence the audience. |

| Whatever I had to do. |
