Some of My Puppetry Background
Q: Why do you write puppet scripts? What motivates you?
I think it is a fun way to share God's word with kids and others who may not know Him.
Q: Tell us about your church or puppet organisation.
I attend Legacy Church of Christ in N. Richland Hills, Texas. We have about 1,000 members and a wonderful Youth Group.
Q: How did you get started in puppets and what attracted you to this area?
Leadership Training for Christ is how I got into puppets.
Q: Where does your inspiration come from to write puppet scripts?
Just about everywhere. I watch the kids, personal experiences, old TV series etc.
Q: What advice would you give to someone just starting out in puppetry?
Have fun! Keep it simple and fun for everyone. Be PATIENT in rehersals. Let the kids help write it - they have GREAT ideas.
Q: Who are your favourite puppet characters and what do you like about them?
My favorites are not really puppets - I like the Vegi-Tale characters and stories for their Christian and moral values they teach.
Q: What are the most important qualities in great puppet scripts?
To share God's word.
Q: What would you do if you were a puppet?
