Some of My Puppetry Background
Q: Why do you write puppet scripts? What motivates you?
I write skits for my church's puppet team.
Q: Tell us about your church or puppet organisation.
We are just starting a puppet ministry. I had run a puppet ministry in a previous church but that was many years ago.
Q: How did you get started in puppets and what attracted you to this area?
I started using puppets as a teacher and then expanded them to create a church ministry.
Q: Where does your inspiration come from to write puppet scripts?
As a teacher, I saw a lot of issues and fears that children face. I'd like to address those from a Christian perspective.
Q: What advice would you give to someone just starting out in puppetry?
Find reliable, adaptable people for your puppet team.
Q: Who are your favourite puppet characters and what do you like about them?
Not answered yet.
Q: What are the most important qualities in great puppet scripts?
They must be able to connect to the children watching. You have to take off your adult glasses and try to view the skit as kids see them.
Q: What would you do if you were a puppet?
Not answered yet.
