The  special  gift”


Puppet(s ) needed-   Reever.

Prop(s)  needed-  Box with  wrapping  paper on it, place a piece of paper inside that says “Jesus”,  also, put a tag on it that says “from: God, to: everyone”.

					    -Skit-

Puppeteer: (Put gift under curtain, but let it show a little)

Teacher:     Reever???  You here???

Reever:   (Pops up)  Yep!!! Teacher, it's a special day today!!!

Teacher:   It is???

Reever:   Yeah, it's my birthday!!!

Teacher:   It is???  Kids, let's sing Happy birthday to Reever...  (Lead  kids  in singing  happy birthday to Reever)

Reever:   Yea!!!  So what are we talking about???

Teacher:   We're talking about God promising a gift...

Reever:   A gift?!  You guys got me a present?!

Teacher:   No, we...

Reever:   I found it!!!  (Picks  up  present)  Oh, yea!!! It is a present!!!  Yea!!! (Continues   celebrating)

Teacher:   (Talk  over  Reever)  But, Reever, we didn't get you a present...

Reever:   You didn't???  Then where did this one come from???

Teacher:   I don't know...  Here, let me see it...  (Take  present  from  Reever)  (Pause and  look  over  present)  (Finally  “find”  the tag)  Oh!  Reever, guess what...

Reever:   What?  I don't know, tell me!!!

Teacher:   It says from God to everyone...

Reever:   Open it!!!

Teacher:   Okay! Okay!  Calm down!!!  (Open  present so only you can see in)It's the greatest gift ever!!!

Reever:   What is it???!!!  What is it???!!!  Come on, tell me already!!!

Teacher:   It's Jesus... (Turn  present so everyone can see)

Reever:   Jesus is a gift???

Teacher:   You didn't know that??? (Put present down)

Reever:   How can Jesus be a gift?  He's a person...

Teacher:    If God hadn't gave us Jesus, we wouldn't get to go to Heaven...

Reever:   We wouldn't???

Teacher:    No, we wouldn't...

Reever:   So, Jesus is a gift...

Teacher:    For everyone...

Reever:   Now, let me hear that memory verse!!!

Teacher:    Let's knock him off the stage!!!  A Child is born unto us...Isaiah 9:6. He didn't fall down! Let's try again...  A Child is born unto us...Isaiah 9:6. 

Reever:   (Falls  offstage) Whoa!!!

Teacher:    We did it!!!

Reever:   (Enters)  I'll say you did!!!  Bye!!!  (Falls  offstage)

Teacher:    Bye, Reever!!!
