Too much exposition. References need updating. I realize that in such a short piece you have to hit issues quickly, but maybe focus on one issue to make it seem less frenetic.

I think it should be rated for adolescent and teens only, not 11 and under. Our 7 to 11 year olds wouldnt understand most of the slang terms.

Our pastor was discussing this very problem the other day; the dual temptation of body-building and rap music.

Wowie. Never knew white rap was so complicated. Thought M&M's was bad enought. Didn't want to go the 8 Miles but I did. Thanks. But , no thanks.

Steriods are bad! I have a kid in my congregation who is whacked out on them. This will do the job!

There is much truth in this street-tough parable. Great for slightly older audiences maybe, praise the Lord. But I would have liked it more if you'd made of Li'l Romeo a whole bunch. That kid is whack!

My story!!! (Rated by: Julian) Posted February 27 2002

I am not a rapper or a body-builder (or a puppet :) ) but I completely identified with the character in this play. His story is my story -- and maybe yours too.

Wow! (Rated by: p. david) Posted February 20 2002

That's the best puppet show/life lesson I'vee evver read. It is so real and honest. I really think kids could learn from it because it tells it like it T-I is.
Tells it like it is!!! (Rated by: Tim) Posted February 20 2002

Rating: 10

This is hard-hitting stuff. It tells a story that needs to be told. I really think it will speak to the children in our congregation who are obsessed with "rap" and "music" and "body-building." I hope we hear more from this author. Bravo!
